Millenial Upgrade

A millenial's kind but practical step-by-step guide to self-improvement and self-care, based on my own experiments and experiences. Let me teach you 🙂

Feeling Better With my Training Regime

Here I’ll reveal to you how I’ve managed to lose weight and in general feel better. Are you ready?

Routine and slow, patient improvement is the key.

Also, water. Yes, who would’ve thought drinking enough water actually energizes you lol

Why this amount of calories?

As you can see, my max kilocalories amount was quite high during Phase 1. Not unhealthy, but higher than I would need with my activity level. I am also allowed to indulge in some sweets for 50g worth.

I chose to do this this way however, because if you start from basically zero with some serious sweet tooth, its really not a great idea to go all in. At least for me. If I cut out all the sweet things I enjoy entirely and would limit my calories too much, I would burn out quickly. And probably devour far too much calories far too fast.

Why this amount of exercise?

Simply put, my workout routine is made to be achievable with a poor shape.

The workout routine on Wednesdays and Fridays recycles the Monday’s exercises but changes the order to spice things up a bit. Tuesdays and Thursdays are days for a lower intensity activity, i.e taking a walk outside. Since the activity is lower, no snacks allowed.

Weekends are for rest because you need that as well, for both your body and your mind. Do something you find relaxing and comfortable. However, keep the snacks to the 50g max.

Why bother to plan like this? Because the point of this whole process of self-improvement is to learn to enjoy it 🙂

Long term plans!

My long term plan is to slowly drop the calorie intake on each of my phases. Now in Phase 2 its 2100 kcal and will eventually drop to around 1700 kcal unless I start heavy muscle growing and may need more energy. But that’s in the future and will require some careful extra planning.

Now the most important thing is to get to healthy weight and form a sustainable exercise routine. Come with me 🙂

Yours (with apparently functional sweat glands), Minna <3
